The Workhouse is closing. Just as the campaign turned to the community to close the Workhouse, we now turn back to the community once again to decide what to do with it. The Workhouse has hurt Black and other marginalized groups for decades, and with its closure we have the opportunity to create something that no longer takes and destroys, but instead supports and uplifts those who have been most impacted.

Use this survey to let the City know what you think should be done with the space!

THE CAMPAIGN

• Tag the campaign on social media, help us raise awareness. #closetheworkhouse

• Volunteer your time and energy for the campaign. 

• Donate money to support and further the campaign.

• You do you! By doing what you do best, you can creatively support the campaign. For example, Buttonmakers has hosted a button-making party. 

• Become a volunteer! The campaign is in need of volunteers to drive impacted people, provide food/ drinks at meetings, canvass, and court watch. If you are interested in volunteering please email us at closetheworkhouse@gmail.com.
